Start with a small folder
Add a local folder in Settings, then run face recognition, duplicate checks, or both. Once you are comfortable with the results, add more folders. Keep the drive connected while scanning. A first full scan takes longer than a cached rescan.
Correct a person
Open a person’s photos, select the photo and choose “Correct faces”. Name a new group, merge groups that represent the same person, or leave an unfamiliar face in OTHERS. Albums let you collect family, events and favourites without making them a single person.
Keep originals safe
Review file paths before copying, moving, renaming or deleting. Renaming a photo changes the original file; it does not make a separate copy for each person in it. A photo with several people can appear in several groups while remaining one file.
Trial and activation
The planned trial accepts 500 distinct photos without a time limit. An identical copy or rescan is counted once. Pro removes the cap. Activation requires the details supplied with your licence; importing a signed licence file can be done offline. Never post your licence key in a support message.
Send a useful bug report
Include your PhotoBasket version, Windows version, the action you tried, what happened and the exact error text. For a recognition issue, say whether a face was missed, assigned to OTHERS or matched to the wrong person. Please wait for instructions before sending any diagnostic database, and do not send private photos through the contact form.
