Your photo library
Face detection, face matching and duplicate analysis run locally in the Windows app. PhotoBasket does not send your photos, face crops, facial feature vectors, person names, photo paths or library database to our servers or a recognition cloud service. The app stores its library, thumbnails and corrections on your computer.
Trial and licence information
The planned trial records identifiers derived from photo contents locally to count up to 500 distinct photos. Rescanning an identical photo does not use another place. These identifiers are not sent to us.
Activating a publisher-issued licence sends the name, email address, optional company and licence key you enter to the configured activation service. A signed perpetual licence is then verified locally. Importing an already-issued signed licence can be done offline. Photos and facial data are not part of activation. Microsoft Store purchases, downloads and updates are also subject to Microsoft’s privacy information.
This website
The interactive demonstration uses fictional sample photos and cannot access your files. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process connection information such as IP addresses and security logs to deliver and protect the website.
When you contact us
The text-only contact form sends your optional name, email address, selected topic and message. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help detect spam and store contact messages with a submission reference and timestamp in a private Cloudflare database so we can handle your enquiry. We use your email address only to reply to your enquiry, not for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list or sell your contact details. Do not include photos, passwords, payment details or licence keys in your message.
Retention and your choices
Your local photo library remains under your control. Uninstalling, backing up or clearing library records are separate actions; keep a backup before changing files. We retain support enquiries while handling them and for necessary follow-up, security or record-keeping. You can request access, correction or deletion of your enquiry through the contact form, choosing “Privacy question”. We may need to confirm your identity and retain records where required by law.
